Les vivaces / Living space

This project took place in my apartment where I had lived for several years. Although I still lived there during the piece I had emptied it of my belongings and focused on the details of the rooms themselves. The lack of general living comforts brought the attention towards the details of walls, curtains and other architectural peculiarities. An ongoing performance was contained in one room and attempted to respond to the banal yet overbearing activity filtering in from outside: hundreds of newspapers, radios playing as many stations as possible, birds feeding at the windowsill and the inevitable presence of the neighbours. Because of these uncontrollable situations the work constantly changed, depending also on the varying participation of visitors who arrived one or two at a time throughout the four days.
